When did you start coaching CrossFit?

2018 – I started CrossFit because I grew up with competitive sports and wanted a challenge. I continued with CrossFit because of the community. Finding CrossFit has been absolutely life changing not only in my physical fitness, but in my relationships, confidence and mental health. I’ve met so many amazing people along the way that impacted my life in positive and healthy ways.


What do you love about coaching at KFP?

I love being able to connect with people and share my passion for health and fitness. It makes my day when I see an athlete have a goal achieved or a lightbulb moment! Another reason I love being a part of this community, especially now that I am a mother, is how family friendly this gym is! It is a safe, clean, and friendly place that the whole family can enjoy. The people here are so accepting, you will never feel like an outsider here!


What’s your favorite movement?

I love Olympic lifting, especially clean and jerks. Squats and deadlifts also hold a special place in my heart. Heavy barbells are the best barbells in my book!


What do you like to do outside of the gym?

When I am not spending time with my family and chasing around my son, you will find me at the ice rink. Hockey is my favorite thing to do! I never grew out of my competitive nature from high school and college and still play hockey at least 2-3 nights a week. If I must sit still, I also am a huge book worm. Thrillers and fantasy are my favorite genres to cozy up reading with a cup of coffee in hand of course.
